At Alphabet Academy, we know that a safe and loving environment is the key to a solid foundation for all children.

OUR PROGRAM

Our child care and preschool program provides a safe and loving environment for children to learn, grown, and play by working on learning age-appropriate concepts through both school time and play. We are licensed by the state of Wyoming, Wyoming Department of Education food program participants, and require First Aid and CPR certification for our staff as well as background checks, drug testing, and TB testing.

We take great pride in providing a cheerful, clean, and fun-filled atmosphere for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Enrollment is determined by space available, the needs of the child, and the age of the child. Director and owner Jessica Loyd creates a unique, custom curriculum with her staff for Alphabet Academy.

Throughout the year, we focus on a variety of skills and themes:

• fine and gross motor skills

• sensory development

• building and loose parts (manipulatives)

• dramatic play

• book appreciation through storytime and library center

• letter recognition and phonemic awareness

• sight words

• emergent writing

• tracing

• number knowledge to 100 in English and to 20 in Spanish

• shapes and colors in Spanish

• rhyming

• opposites

• location: planet, continent, state, city

• health and safety

• days of the week/months of the year

• science and discovery

• crafts

SECURITY POLICY

As parents ourselves, we understand the importance of security and make it a priority at all three Alphabet Academy locations. We have implemented a keypad lock for all three front entrances; access PINs will be provided for up to two designated adults. No child will be released to a person without advance written or verbal consent from a parent or guardian. All sites have a working video system that records daily, ensuring the safety of both children and employees.

NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICIES

Alphabet Academy LLC assures the Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) that all participants at the facility/facilities described on the application form(s) are served the same meals at no separate charge regardless of race, color, national origin, age, sex, or disability, and that there is no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA.

Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information (e.g. Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language, etc.) should contact the Agency (state or local) where they applied for benefits. Individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have speech disabilities may contact UDA through the Federal Relay Service at (800) 877-8339. Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.

This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
